Tide Freshman Top Livingston In Twin Bill
 
The University of Alabama’s freshman baseball team won a doubleheader from Livingston State College yesterday at Thomas Field. The Tide freshmen won the first game 12-0 and took the second 13-6.
 
Alabama poured ten runs across the plate in the first inning of the second game and cruised to victory. The fourth inning was the big frame for the Tide in the first game with eight runs crossing the plate.
 
Joe Sims led the Tide in the opening game. He pitched five innings and allowed only one single. He fanned seven and belted a two run homer. Tommy Hill had two hits as did Tommy Broker. Bill Hicks had a triple.
 
Hill and Charlie Seebeck had three hits in the second game and Hicks had a pair.
